Yes, you read that right, White Monkey has recently renewed its Izakaya catalogue and this Asian-inspired restaurant is a must-discover, firstly because you will eat well and secondly because it is uniquely set with its Polynesian – and not only – philosophy cocktails: Typical example are the well-established for connoisseurs Strawberry rolls, with shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, mayonnaise with roasted strawberry and sesame syrup – they are delicious and eaten without words.
The “gallant” chef Stathakos Christidis flirts with other contrasts, such as for example in the exquisite Surf & Turf rolls, which marry tempura shrimp with beef tataki in a roll of absolute pleasure with miso, crunchy corn and lime mayonnaise. The menu is home to other goodies, such as the duck breast confit salad, the poké bowl with boiled prawns, the refreshing seabass ceviche.

Behind the bar, his team goes all out, creating top-quality cocktails: Inspired by the legendary Japanese actress, vedeta and exotic dancer, the Tura Satana is one of our favourite signature cocktails of the new season, with gin, a cordial of Ginger, Passion Fruit and plum! Explosive, floral, cool and super sexy. The Machete Kills is also excellent, with mezcal, lime, sweet mango, chilli and fresh coriander.
